This is Kyle Hughes.
He was one of my closest and dearest friends.
He suffered severe anxiety and depression from 2015, until tragically, he took his own life on the 1st July 2018.
Suicide is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 in the UK.
Thankfully, we have amazing charities such as MIND and PAPYRUS - who operate in the hope of preventing mental health issues from claiming the lives of our talented and wonderful young people.
After Kyle's passing I began to fundraise, and his legacy lives on to this day!
It's been a great coping mechanism for me - keeping Kyle's name alive and raising money for such an important cause has really helped me cope with his loss.
Since his passing on the 1st July 2018, £1 - from every in-car and online training session that I've conducted with learners and trainee instructors - has been donated to PAPYRUS.
So far, my amazing trainees have helped me raise £3,971.00!
Every £5 that's donated pays for a potentially life-saving phone call to HOPELINEUK - in the hope they can save more young people like Kyle, from taking the heart-breaking decision to end their own lives.
